Learn everything there is to know about Templates and how to best utilize them
Create Your First Team Template (with Metadata)
Templates allow you to set up preconditions for the structure of all Teams that are created within your organization.
Control Template Visibility with Dynamic Groups
If you're running a large organization, there's a high likelihood that you have lots of Templates meant for different departments. For instance, you might have a Template for Budgeting Discussions that would be useful to Upper Management and Accountants, but would simply be a distraction for Designers or Marketing Professionals.
Templates: Extended Configuration
Templates are crucial to establishing a solid Governance Infrastructure. All other Governance Components are either directly or indirectly related to them, and the entire governance model hinges on you configuring your Templates to look exactly how you want them to look.
Metadata Fields
Metadata Fields allow you to collect extra information from your employees when they're submitting a Team Creation Request.
Export and Import Templates
With Teams Manager, you can Export and Import your Templates as zip files, allowing you to maintain offline copies and simplifying setup on new tenants.
Import Default Teams Templates
If you were using standard Microsoft Teams Templates before you set up Teams Manager, you might want to carry them over to the app for further modifications.
Provisioning
Teams Manager allows you to provision a variety of different apps and content with your Templates. This allows you to create a Template Team with a Planner, OneNote, and Channels, which will be automatically transferred to all Teams that are created on its basis.
