Introduction to External User Manager
External User Manager 2.0 greatly expands your Guest Management capabilities, allowing you to easily implement Onboarding Procedures, Naming Conventions, Access Reviews, and much more.
Install External User Manager to M365
External User Manager 2.0 gives you the ability to fully control how Guests are invited into your organization and which Spaces they get to interact with.
Request & Approval Flow
With External User Manager 2.0, your enterprise is essentially split into three groups: Requesters, Guests, and Approvers.
Create Metafields
Metafields allow you to prompt both the Guest and the Requester to provide extra information in a variety of formats, including Text, Dates, Dropdowns, and Checkboxes.
Add Onboarding Media
Onboarding Media allows you to attach a variety of digital information sources to the onboarding portal, which is presented to guests during onboarding. Guests can be prompted to view HTML pages, YouTube videos, or PDF files (and potentially sign them) as part of the Onboarding procedure.
Establish an Onboarding Process
External User Manager allows you to easily implement Onboarding Procedures that give you the maximum amount of information about Guests and the people inviting them into the organization.
Implement Naming Conventions
Naming Conventions allow you to automatically add Prefixes and Suffixes to Guest names and mix and match different aspects of their Onboarding Information to form a cohesive, streamlined naming system.
Control Access with Access Reviews
Access Reviews prompt the Admin to regularly review guest access to ensure that only the people who are still genuinely needed get to be a part of your organization.
Import/Convert Existing Guests
If you've been using Microsoft Teams for a while, there's a high likelihood that you'll have one or more existing Guests who were added to the organization before you installed External User Manager.
